Black Cat Pest Control is not a call centre or a franchise. It is Wayne, a hands-on local who turns up himself, does the job properly, and shakes your hand when it is done.
The story
From gardener to bug-buster
Wayne started out as a gardener and construction worker back in the UK. Lawn care was his very first trade, going right back to childhood, hedging, cutting grass, keeping the flower beds tidy. The love of gardening never left him.
When he moved to Australia, he could not get over how many insects and bugs there were, and how much they upset people in their own homes. He thought getting on top of that would be a good thing to do, tried his hand at pest control, and found he was good at it, and that it mattered to people.
Today he brings all three together: pest control, lawn and garden care, and the handyman jobs in between. One trusted local for the lot.
Why “Black Cat”?
Naming the business was the tough part. Wayne and the family tried all their dogs’ names first (Luna, Zeus, Sky), but every one was already taken by another pest control business. Then they thought of their rescue cat, Midnight, who happens to be a black cat. That one was free, and it stuck. So the business is named after a much-loved rescue moggy.
